Elaine, Jack & Baby Bump Visit Seattle

Elaine and Jack flew in on Wed. morning.

I was crazy at work the entire time they were here so I didn't get to take much time off. It was really a bummer especially since, in general, it's been kind of quiet at work this year. Wed. night Lisa and Chris came over bringing with them Paseo. Yum...

Jack loves to play ball. He spent a lot of the time he was here in our backyard. He would say, "watch" and then repeatedly hit the ball off the makeshift tee. He's really good!

Jack really liked Thom's guitar and was very gentle with it.

On Thursday we went to the Children's Museum.

On Thursday night, with a HUGE thank you to Thom and Chris for watching the little ones, Michele, Lisa, Elaine and I went out for dinner. It was so much fun to have adult conversation and not to be distracted the entire time.

Kai really liked watching Jack. Jack was super sweet and gentle with Kai. He kept leaning his head down and touching it to Kai's. I wish we had a picture. He is going to be a wonderful big brother!

Jack and Grace still had fun together but this time Jack wasn't running after Grace with his mouth open asking for kisses. Elaine was definitely relieved!

On Friday, when I had to go into work again, Lisa was able to take the day off. They walked around the lake, ate lunch, went to a great children's consignment shop, and then ended up at the market. Friday night we had a feast of crab, clams, caprese salad, caesar salad, roasted carrots and aspargus. It was delicious.

I had to post this picture because I giggle everytime I think of it.

We know that it will be a while until you can get back to Seattle since baby will be coming at the end of the summer. It was wonderful to spend time with you and Jack. We missed John and next time it is mandatory that he come too! I can't wait to meet the new baby. While I sit here missing you, it's nice to know that we will see you in July when we go to Chicago. That's only 2 months away!
