On Sunday night we had our movie night. Part of the reason we have movie night in August is because we are almost guaranteed good weather. By August in Seattle our grass is always dead and I have almost always killed our plants from lack of water...We've had weird weather this year so I had been keeping an eye on the weather report all week and sure enough it wound up raining really really hard on Sunday! We were glad most of our friends showed up to eat regardless of the rain. We chose the movie Ratatouille mostly because we wanted to make yummy french food...I think everyone had a good time. I know I did!
(Colleen did our menu board - you can't really see it but she did a really cool drawing of the rat in theleft corner)
Colleen keeps talking about how much she loved it. She always follows it up by saying "and don't tell me what was in it".
These kids had a blast playing together.
It was pretty wild (and loud) in the house with all the kids.
I feel bad I didn't get pictures of all the guests but I was pretty busy...
Natalia and Ben's parents were there. Cooper's mom came and Alida brought Richie. Colleen and her friend Eileen spent most of the night upstairs (can't say I blame them).
Once the movie went on the house got pretty quiet...
Lauren really enjoyed the chocolate bar she chose from the snack basket...Hopefully next time we can do it all outside again!
