It's been a busy week so I'm sorry to be delinquent on posting. Cathy arrived last Thursday. It was wonderful to have her here with us. I have to apologize to her because it was a little chaotic and interesting in our house this past week. Maybe it's always like that and I just only notice it when someone else is there to witness our reality. Aside from some of the tough times, we had a wonderful week with Cathy and hope she is looking forward to coming back next year! I know we are looking forward to having her. I'm going to have to post her visit in a few separate posts since we did a lot of fun things while she was here.Thursday night we dined on "Perfect Roast Chicken". On Friday Thom, Cathy, Colleen and Kai took a trip to the Art Museum. Lauren went to Natalia's. Apparently a quiet museum equals a screaming Kai so Thom took him down to the market where in the midst of the super loud craziness he fell asleep! Cathy and Colleen finished walking through exhibits at the museum. When they got home they spent some time on the internet researching some things from the exhibit that interested them. Friday night Lisa joined us for pizza on the back patio. On Saturday we headed down Fremont to the Solstice parade.

Cathy said she enjoyed the parade but next year maybe she'll eat BEFORE not DURING the naked bicycle riding portion!
Waiting for the parade...doesn't everyone look excited?
Thom and Cathy before the parade...
And after...

Kai fell asleep???Maybe we just need to raise the volumn in our house at night so he'll sleep through?

Cathy was lucky enough to catch a T-shirt...
