Solstice Parade

It's officially summer now...of course we waved summer in by attending the Fremont Solstice parade again this year. Cathy was here for her 3rd annual visit. It was her second time at the parade. Thom hurt his back on Friday so he stayed home to rest and went for a massage during the parade. The 4 of us braved the crowds and wound up meeting Jolene, John, Haiden and Collin near Gasworks park. It was nice of them to save us a spot! For those of you who are not familiar with the Solstice Parade, the festivities begin with hundreds of naked painted bike riders. It sounds odd but it's really kind of fun.

Recently, since we are headed to Disney World at the end of July, I was telling Lauren about how great Disney World is. I was describing all the rides and the fun activities that we will be doing when we are there. Then I told her that the whole day ends with an amazing parade of all the Disney Characters and she said "and naked people?" Sorry Lauren - only in Fremont...

I've always been a big fan of Batman....
