Today Colleen celebrated her 13th birthday.Her day began with an early morning call (yes 9:00 is early for a 13 year old) from her sister Grace singing her happy birthday.
Then she enjoyed her favorite breakfast, Krispy Kreme doughnuts.
After breakfast, she came to work to swim with Thom, Lauren and Alida's son Richie.
After swimming, she enjoyed sushi for lunch.
When I got home from work, she opened presents and we sat down for her favorite dinner - Perfect Roast Chicken by the Barefoot Contessa. After dinner, some of her friends from the neighborhood stopped by for cake and icecream and then she went off to run around the neighborhood with them. She said it was a great day. Tomorrow night she is having 3 friends for a sleepover. It's truly hard to believe that she is 13.
