Ben and Lauren have been asking for a sleepover for a while now. I think it's because Colleen has sleepovers. On Saturday night Ben finally slept over. They had so much fun. They watched some movies, played, decorated Halloween cookies, and ate some Halloween candy.
Then it was time to sleep and Ben was a little worried about bad guys and monsters so he asked me to sit with them. He also talked about the special cages his daddy has for them. I'll have to ask Ted to pack one in his bag next time! Lauren said she wasn't afraid of monsters and bad guys and that she'd beat them up for him.
After a while Lauren started crying a little because she was really tired and struggling to stay awake. He said "I remember when I was 3 and I was really tired but didn't want to go to sleep because I didn't want to miss anything". Then he told her "If you are going to act this way I'm not going to want to come to your house. My daddy had a friend that acted bad and he doesn't come to our house anymore". Well Lauren lost the battle and fell asleep but Ben stayed awake about 15 more minutes just talking. He was cracking me up with all his little stories.
Then he said "Amy, I'm really worked up and can't fall asleep"
He was wrong because about 5 minutes later they were both sound asleep.
