Happy 1/2 Birthday Kai!

I can't believe our little boy is 6 months old today.

Kai is such a snuggler. He loves to hug us by digging his face into our shoulders and kiss us by diving with his open mouth at our cheeks. Over the last few days he's been pushing up on his knees and lifting his belly off of the floor. When he is on his belly he can turn himself every which way and he has been trying to move forward but ends up moving backwards. He has not flipped from back to front yet but he twists his body almost to the point of turning. He is so close.

He still loves his rice cereal and has tried - carrots, apples and sweet potatoes. Sweet potatoes being the only other thing he eats without convulsing because of the flavor. He has also mastered the use of a cup. He seems to like the taste of water and will say "yum".

He still laughs a lot but no one can make him laugh as hard as Lauren can. He sometimes laughs at her just because she looks at him.

It sure does make the sleepless nights worth it.
