Our Trip to Chicago

Our trip to Chicago started with a very early flight. Lauren stayed awake the whole time until we started the decent and the plane got bumpy. Then she fell asleep sitting up! That was not a very refreshing 5 minute nap!

My Dad picked us up at the airport and we spent the day and night with him and Anna. Lauren's Cousins even stopped by for a visit. We also celebrated Lucy's (Anna's mom) 89th birthday.

On Saturday we went to Lake Geneva with GaGa. My Grandma drove up to have lunch with us.

After lunch we headed back to my Mom and Rich's house.

Lauren talked them into taking her swimming.

She looks sad in this picture but she had a blast in the pool.

On Sunday we went to Randal Oaks Farm and petting Zoo to celebrate Jack's 1st Birthday. It was wonderful to see him again. We haven't seen him since Christmas. He has grown up so much.

It's a good thing he stayed awake - he truly enjoyed every bite of his chocolate cupcake!

On Sunday night we went to dinner with Uncle D, DeAnna, Rich, my Mom, Elaine and Jack.
Uncle D and DeAnna let Lauren drive the golf cart home. She only went up the curb and into someone's yard once. I think she'll be talking about how much fun that was for the rest of her life.

On Monday night we went back to my Dad and Anna's for dinner. Lauren was not happy to take this picture. It's a great shot of David and Dad though...

On Tuesday Elaine and Jack spent all day with us.

Once again, thank you to everyone for creating such great memories with us. It was a wonderful trip and Lauren asked yesterday when we could take a plane back again.
