Every year I declare that we are going to go see the Tulip Festival and every year April passes by in a blur and we don't end up going. This year I ushered everyone, including Thom on only 3 hours of sleep, into the car Sunday morning. There were various complaints from Lauren and Colleen on the drive up. We stopped in LaConner for lunch and to stretch our legs. What a great little town. We took some pictures next to the tulip outside of the icecream shop incase we didn't make it to the fields. 
Somehow we found the tulip fields. Lauren was almost a zombie since it was past her naptime. Colleen was more facinated by the springy dirt clumps on the pathway and I believe Thom may have been sleepwalking but we finally made it this year!!!
